About
Tâk is a Persian neoclassical music ensemble founded by three young Iranian musicians: Soroush Kamalian, Niyosha Abouali, and Sepas Sadrenoori, representatives of the new generation of Iranian artists. The trio reinvents musical tradition by combining traditional instruments, Persian percussion, piano, and modern sounds, in a deeply rooted approach inspired by Persian poetry and philosophy.
Drawing on Iran’s rich literary and spiritual heritage, Tâk’s music finds its essence in the works of great Persian poets and thinkers such as Rumi, Hafez, and Saadi. At the same time, the group is influenced by contemporary minimalist aesthetics, inspired by figures like Ólafur Arnalds, Max Richter, and Philip Glass. Tâk stands out for its ability to create a harmonious balance between past and present, East and West, acoustic purity and electronic innovation. Through their compositions, the members of Tâk invite audiences into an immersive and introspective experience, where each note becomes a bridge to the depths of the soul and the heights of spiritual awakening.
More than a concert, each performance by Tâk is a true sensory and emotional exploration. Traditional instruments merge with modern sounds, while the percussion resonates like an echo of Iran’s timeless musical heritage. By playing with unique textures and evocative melodies, Tâk takes audiences on an unprecedented journey, blending tradition and modernity, simplicity and complexity. With Tâk, discover a new vision of Persian music at the crossroads of cultures and eras, where every melody tells a story and every silence resonates as a reflection.
